In 2011, we embarked on an exciting journey by acquiring Widget Grove, a captivating 2-acre haven nestled within the heart of a semi-residential suburb in Baranduda, Victoria, Australia. Our story began as a fusion of passions, with a fervent desire to build a nourishing "forever" home.
Jan and I have both studied and then worked with technology for our careers. I had also just completed local college classes in Visual Arts and Permaculture. We wanted a space to experiment and create with gardening, arts & technology all in one place so the vision of "Widget Grove" was born.
Widget Grove is more than a piece of land. We set out to cultivate a space where plants and creativity would thrive side by side. Our goal was to establish an environment that not only echoed the principles of sustainability; artistic expression but to showcase cutting-edge technology as well. Over the years, Widget Grove has transformed into a captivating narrative of growth, where each leaf and brushstroke tells a story of passion and dedication.
